In fact, we are really one of only two or three messenger bag companies who are continually dedicated to acquiring better and better materials for our bags as technology improves - instead of trying to cut down our profit margin. Take for instance, our new velcro, which is molded using an entirely new process and yields a hook side that is far more uniform than before (better grip and shear resistance) yet much softer to the touch (no more skin abrasions!). We conduct our company this way because it's no fun to replace bags for dissatisfied customers, and it's no fun to get stuck in the rain and find out that "water-resistant" really means "don't get this bag wet, please". We make 'em tough because we don't like making excuses. But you'll find that out soon enough. 1000 Denier Cordura®: Cordura is the standard for what is basically synthetic canvas. But there are different weights and different qualities out there. We use the the heaviest weight available, and of course, we use the real DuPont stuff. That's why we line all of our bags with vinyl-coated nylon. And while 10 - 14 ounces might be good enough for some, we prefer something a little more heavy duty. The ultimate in hardcore weatherproofing. Liner colors: black, light gray, baby blue   Real metal buckles and hardware: With the exception of the Minis, Aika bag, and the two-strap bags, all of our bags come with metal buckles for adjusting the main strap - not plastic. Surefire grip in all elements, adjustable with one hand while riding, and they won't crack during an east coast winter. Plus, all of our webbing is finished with nickel-plated hardware. Reinforced main straps: The main straps on the Deluxe, Courier, Civilian, and Small Civilian are reinforced with edge trim, making them even more durable than ever before. It also makes them a bit more comfy sitting on your shoulder than a raw nylon edge . We can position the main strap for your right OR your left shoulder. Just let us know which one. Strap keeper buckles: When you aren't using your flap straps, keep them here and keep them from hanging down below the bag.
